Dale Yates - Age 72, West Plains MO - Funeral services for will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Yates died today, Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at his home. Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dale Keith Yates - Age 72, West Plains - Born Jan. 1, 1936, in Douglas County, Mo., to Lesley and Cleo Hodges Yates.  Mr. Yates died 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at his home. He was bHe graduated from West Plains High School with the class of 1954, and on Dec. 5, 1959, was married at St. Louis, Mo., to Regina Smith, who preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2004.  Mr. Yates was a veteran having served with the U.S. Navy, and before his retirement was a housing contractor. He is survived by one son, Yancy Yates, wife, Lena, West Plains; two grandchildren, Chloe Yates and Jessalin DeGonia; one sister, Kaye Smith; and three nephews, Tyler Yates, Dale Smith and Lee Smith. His parents; wife; one brother, Lee Yates; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Yates; and one brother-in-law, Charlie Smith, precede him in death. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. today, Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Annette L. Gridley Yost - Age 63, Pomona Howell Co MO - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with Father Sherman Wall officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains. She was born the daughter of the late Arthur Gridley and Antoninette Digirolomo Gridley, on March 12, 1944, in Manhattan, N.Y., and died Sept. 27, 2007, in West Plains, Mo. She was the beloved mother of Dawn Ann May, loving mother-in-law to Kevin May, and grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren, Christopher, Alicia, and Kevin, all of Pomona, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Gridley and Antoninette Digirolomo Gridley. She was a loving wife to Charlie Vion and later to William Yost, who also preceded her in death. Family visitation was Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains. Burial was in the Mackey Cemetery, Howell County, Mo., under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains Howell County News 10-01-07

Doris M. Young - Age 79, Eureka IL - Formerly of West Plains MO - Died 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at Maple Lawn Health Center, Eureka, IL. Mason-White Funeral Home, Washington, IL. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mason-White Funeral Home, with the Rev. Doug Hicks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Eddie RAY Young - Age 41, Poplar Bluff, and formerly of West Plains - Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains.  Mr. Young died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at his home. 

Ronnie Gerald Young - Born December 28, 1937 at West Plains, MO to George Washington Young and Vera Mae (Glazier) Young. He passed away December 10, 2006 at Springfield, CO at the age of 68 years. Ron was united in marriage to Joann Willis January 1959 and to this union 4 children were born; one daughter Cristina and 3 sons David, Robert and Mark. He is preceded in death by his parents; one niece Robin Lynn Bauer and one nephew James Donald Davis. Ron is survived by his 4 children Cristina Marie Geer and husband Tom of Austin, TX; David Wayne Young of Windsor, CO; Robert Duane Young of Glenwood Springs, CO; and Mark Andrew Young of Ft. Collins, CO; 3 grandchildren Seth Thomas Geer, Colton B. Young and Devon Taylor Young; 2 brothers George Robert Young and wife Nancy of Mountain View, MO; Gary Lynn Young and wife Marguerite of Russellville, MO; 2 sisters Georgia Mae Kraft of West Plains, MO; and Bonnie Jean Long of Oakland, CA numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie was employed at Boeing Aircraft Company in Wichita, KS developing the B-52H model bomber. He later worked with aerospace electronic systems at Lockheed Aircraft Company in the California bay area, Ball Aerospace and TRW in Colorado. Ronnie retired in 2002 and shortly thereafter encountered failing health. Throughout the latter part of his career, he did consulting work for many aerospace companies and on many systems to include the Space Shuttle and B-2 Bomber. His specialty was developing and trouble-shooting guidance systems for aircraft and missiles and at one point received a personal letter of commendation from President Ronald Reagan for his work in solving critical missile guidance system problems. Ron was an avid outdoors man; he loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held Thursday December 14, 2006 at 3:00PM at the Duncan Funeral Chapel at Mountain View, MO with Reverend Tom Geer officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery at Mountain View, MO under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Mountain View, MO.

Robert Alton Zimmerman - Born in Whittier, CA, the son of Lloyd Alton Zimmerman and Kathleen Ruth (Sibley) Zimmerman. He passed away April 1, 2008 at Springfield, MO at the age of 78 years. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Schwarz on August 27, 1952 at Rimpar, Germany, and to this union five children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Anthony Zimmerman; one brother, Edward Terry Zimmerman; two half-brothers, Ray Salwasser and Charles Lewis Salwasser; and one half-sister, Loretta Salwasser. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Zimmerman of Mountain View, MO; three daughters, Therese K. SanSoucie and husband, Michael, of Lakeside, CA; Ruth-Ann Relyea of El Cajon, CA; and Debra Loraine Butts and husband, Ron, of Victorville, CA; one son, Ray Zimmerman of Lakeside, CA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Robert was employed as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic at Sim J. Harris Company in San Diego, CA for many years until he retired in 1978. He was a member of International Operating Engineers Local 12. Robert served in the United States Army from 1950 until his honorable discharge in February, 1953. He was awarded Army of Occ. Medal (Germany) and the National Defense Service Medal. Services were held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Vianny Catholic Church with Father Ernie Marquest officiating. Services were under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Mountain View, MO.

Nora V. Zuchowski - Age 80, West Plains. Died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2006, in West Plains.  Funeral serviceswill be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with the Rev. Gene Ealy officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains. Family visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 2, 2006. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
