Louisiana (Tucker) Mc New Services for Louisiana (Tucker) Mc New 1817 thru 1889 Submitted by (Mary Mc new ) Poster #-40- Louisiana (Tucker) Mc New Born: July 27th, 1817 Died: March 11th, 1889 Louisiana (Tucker) Mc New Died on Thursday, march 11th, 1889, at her residence on Cedar Fork, ten miles west of Perryville, Mrs. Louisa Anna Mc New, aged 71 years, 7 mos., 17 days. The deceased was born in this county 27th July, 1817. Her father, Mr. Henry Tucker, was one of the early settlers of this county. She married George Mc New 30th March 1836. Her husband died 25th April 1882. She was the mother of nine children, six sons and three daughters, three of her sons and two of her daughters survive her, namely Pheb Farliegh, George W Mc New, Mrs. Catharine Pellerin, Gabriel Mc New and Josephus Mc New. Mrs. Mc New was loved and respected by all who knew her, a true type of womanhood and Christian lady. She was a member of the ME Church having united when quite young, and lived in full accord with its teachings up to her death. She was laid to rest in the old family grave yard, on Friday 15 March 1889, in the presence of a large crowd of friends who came to pay their last respects to one they loved. "Mother, who has passed the toil, the pain, the conflict, victory is yours. Rest and peace your soul are feeling, with a joy devine, safe at last, and free forever, from the toil of life. You can soar on wings triumphant, to your blest abode. Never more to droop and languish neath the cares of life. Never more in pain and anguish shall you suffer loss. Safe in port, aye safely anchored on the golden strand. Home at last in Jesus presence, ever more to stand.
