| Text | Leon Pennel, 70, Butterfield, died at 8:45 am Monday at South Barry County Hospital, Cassville, after an extended illness. Mr. Pennel was born June 9, 1909, in Purdy and was a lifetime resident of the Butterfield area. He was a member of the Methodist Church and was a retired self-employed carpenter. He married Marjorie Catron on March 31, 1929, in Purdy. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, a brother, a sister, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Gunther Methodist Church, east of Butterfield, with Rev. Jerry Hickle officiating. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery, east of Butterfield, under the direction of Williamson Chapel, Cassville. |
