| Text | W. J. Burton was born in Barry County, Missouri, Dec. 25, 1838 and died Feb. 1, 1909. He was converted and joined the New Hope Baptist Church July 1st, 1858 and lived a faithful member until death.
He leaves a wife, and son and daughter to mourn his death. He was for many years treasure of this church. The church loves a faithful member, the community a good citizen. May we who are left behind strive to meet him in the home above.
