Looking for information on these Washington co. MO families: John W. WEBB b.1824 married Elizabeth b 1827: children Lucy Jane, Sarah, William H. & John. Also looking form information on Charles AKERS (this is my ggrandfather the only information I have is his name and location of grave). He married Laura Lucinda Alice WRIGHT on 5-26-1864. Laura Wright was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Jane Wright. Also information on PETTIGREW family in Washington co. MO.

Mary Louise HARTZELL b 1844, d 1895 in DeSoto, married James Sylvester Howard HOYT 1877. James parents were: Ralph and Rachel PLATT HOYT. Mary Louise and James's children were: James William, Stella, Jesse & twin. James William b 1880, d 1964, married 1903 to Apelina Elizabeth POUNDS. Stella married Walter BLACKWELL. I believe they were from the Jefferson County, Mo. area. Mary Louise was born and raised in Cadet, Washington Co., Mo. Any family out there?

Looking for anything on my great uncle, John B. HARTZELL b 1852, in Washington Co., Mo. He m Belle WALL in 1879. Belle died after 1940. I don't know her parents name. John and Belle's children were: John M (Jack), Bruce, Henry, and Alice. Bruce died at 20 & is buried in Old Mines Baptist Cem. Henry married Julia Mary (DeGONIA). Alice married Edward PORTELL. John M (Jack) married Lucinda ? and they had 4 girls, Ethel, Evelyn, Helen, & Luellen. I've been told they lived around Sikeston. Henry and Julia HARTZELL'S children were: James Henry, Dollie Ruth (HUBBARD), Mildred, and Nancy Belle (Dickerson). Julia Mary DeGONIA'S parents were Thomas U. and Cora Mary PASHIA. Any connections?

My grandfather, Samuel HARTZELL's sister, Julie b 1849, d 1924, m 1870 in Union Twp, Washington Co., Mo. to James F. DE'ARMENT (D'ARMENT, DEARMENT). James was b 1846 in PA. James and Julia are buried at Old Mines Baptist Cemetary. They never had any children, but Julia's sister, Virginia lived with them. Virginia never married, but she did have a son, John O. LONG. John moved to St. Louis and worked as a contractor. He never married (Per my father), and died at an early age. Any connections?

My grandfather, Samuel HARTZELL's sister, Laura Jane HARTZELL b 1847, d 1934, m 1847 to John S. WILKINSON. They were married at the Bride's house in Cadet, Washington Co., Mo. Laura and John's children were: Mary (Mollie) who married a ? WHITWORTH. Ella who married Preston LUCAS. Ida, Charles and Clark WILKINSON. Press and Ella LUCAS'S children were Mabel and Ozzie (Auzzie) LUCAS.

Whenever Mable died in 1987, her niece, Lorraine (Mrs. Donald VITALE) was mentioned in her obituary. I have pictures of the LUCAS, WILKINSON markers in the New Masonic Cem. in Potosi. Would love to know if there are still any family out there. Thank you, Sharon

My grandfather was Samuel HARTZELL, b 1865 to Ella NEPHEW b 1882 in Cadet, Washington Co., Mo. Samuel's parents were Silas HARTZELL b 1820 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Silas married Sarah MARSH of Wash. Co. Sarah was b 1828. Her parents were Edward and Mary McNALLY (possibly McALLY) MARSH. Sarah's siblings were John Patrick and Mary Jane MARSH. They were all baptised at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Old Mines, Mo. Mary Jane MARSH married Edward SEYMOUR. Thanks to anyone with any info on the above names.

I am looking for information on two brothers who lived in Washington co, Harmony precinct [Township -ed], in the 1840's about. Their names were Overton Bettis Matthews and Thomas Bettis Matthews, born 1815 and 1816 respectively. They both married a Campbell, as far as I know the girls may have been related. Overton married Tabitha about 1837. Thomas married about 1849, she may have been named Talitha. Their parents were Edward and Lovey or Lovely Matthews. They lived in Wayne Co, around 1820's.

BENJAMIN HARRISON & his sons were some of first settlers in Washington Co. looking fof his place of Burial. died 1908. I was told Wa co but also told Perry Co Mo. He was in WA. Crawford, St Genevive, Perry co. some of them came to the area in 1780's . Benjamin was a Col in the U.S. military. Trying to find connections with his children and my gggp JOHN HARRISON_ ELIZABETH WELLS m-Wa co 1837 also a MICHAEL HARRISON -SARAH WELLS m WA CO 1837. I don't know if JOHN was a son or grandson of BENJAMIN HARRISON.

Is St Joachim Cem, Old Mines, in Union or Liberty Twp.? I thought it was in Union, however, I noted the St Joachim Cem Rec in the Potosi Library has a cover sheet listing the location as Liberty Twp.[St. Joachim Cemetery is in Liberty Twp - ed] Many thanks for any input, Barbara

Their son, my ggrandfather Joseph Walter TALLEY m. Mary Jane WEEKS in 1899. Her parents were Gideon and Minerva Mildred (WRIGHT) WEEKS. Their daughter, my grandmother,who is still living, m. Harold William WATSON in Caledonia in 1934. Harold was Leadwood, St. Francois County in 1910. His parents were Louis and Louisa Katherine Jane (GOAD) WATSON. They came from Dent County. I am looking for any information I can find on my Dad. His name was FRANCIS CHAMP ( B 1918 & D 1949. He married my Mom, VIRGIE POLITTE in 1940 in Potosi, Mo. He was a miner..Tiff miner. He had one sister name MYRTLE who marry into the RULO family.

His parents was: MAGGIE COURTAWAY (B 1896 & D 1922) & JOSEPH FRANCIS CHAMP (B 1887). They was married in 1915.

MAGGIE COURTAWAY parents was: MARY_____ (B 1876 & D 1947) married to JOSEPH COURTAWAY (B 1874 & D 1945)....

JOSEPH FRANCIS CHAMP parents was: GEORGE CHAMP (no stats) married to ALICE HOUSE (D1904).... Her dad´s name Joseph House.

I am looking for any information on the Capt. John C.N. BIRKENBINE family of Richwoods Township, Washington County, Missouri. John was born in Reading, PA. in 1814. He married Caroline TISON, 14 June 1838 in St. Louis. They are found in Richwoods Twp. on the 1850 census with a daughter, Lucille, who was 11 years old. (Listed as BERKENBER on the census). John died 3 Oct. 1851 "on his plantation in Washington County Missouri." His wife Caroline died 15 Nov. 1851 in St. Louis. I would like to know what happened to their daughter Lucille, or anything else about this family.
