Theodore James Clark, 86, Rt. 2. Osceola, died Tuesday morning, March 1, 1994, at the Sac-Osage Hospital in Osceola. He was born June 30, 1907, in St. Clair County, the son of Monroe and Dora Nelson Clark. On October 30, 1939, he married Gwendolyn Smith, who survives.
He lived most of his life in Henry County in the Mt. Zion community. He moved to Osceola 10 years ago. Recently he resided at Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City. He had worked for the Katy or MKT railroad and also was engaged in farming.
Other survivors include three sons, Douglas Clark of Osceola, Richard J. Clark of Deepwater, Robert D. Clark of Latour; a daughter, Shirley A. Schlichting of Sweet Springs; one brother, Martin Clark of Belton; a sister, Laura Pearl Spurgeon of Lowry City, eight grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son.
Funeral services were held Thursday. March 3, at the Sickman & Dunning Chapel in Clinton. Burial was in the Smith Bend Cemetery.
