MILDRED V. DUNCAN
June 5, 1923 - September 23, 2008

Mildred Virginia (Steele) Duncan, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at her home in Appleton City, Missouri. She was born June 5, 1923 in Marshall, Missouri the daughter of William T. and Bertha (Bangle) Steele. In 1944 she was united in marriage to Aaron David Parker and to this union one daughter, Virginia Ann, was born. Aaron passed away in 1946. In 1948 she married Philip Joe Campbell and to this union three sons were born, Phil Joe, David Michael and Clyde Campbell. After Philip passed away she met and married Wayne Duncan. Mildred resided in the Kansas City area where she was a housewife and also employed at Lake City. In 1999 she moved to Appleton City where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law Virginia Ann and Raymond Thomas, Sr. She was a kind, loving wife and mother who loved having her family around. She was a fun-loving, joyful person. Preceding Mildred in death were her three husbands, Aaron David Parker, Philip Campbell and Wayne Duncan; one son, Clyde Campbell; two brothers, William T. Steele, Jr. and Jack Clemons. Those left to mourn her passing are her three children, Virginia and husband Raymond Thomas, Sr. of Appleton City, Missouri, Philip Joe Campbell and wife Charlotte of Independence, Missouri and David Michael Campbell of Kansas City; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
