MILDRED JACKSON

Mildred Jackson was born Nov. 27, 1916 in Lowry City to Claude E. and
Mary [Crawford] Morris. She passed away Oct. 28, 2008, at Truman Lake
Manor in Lowry City.
On Oct. 10, 1935, she was united in marriage to Amos Jackson and to
this union three sons were born, Edward L., Morris Wayne and Amos E.
Jackson.
At an early age Mildred was saved then was baptized and joined the
First Baptist Church, Lowry City, and later became a member of
Pleasant Springs Baptist Church in rural St. Clair County.
Mildred is survived by her son, Amos E. Jackson, Clinton; four
grandchildren; Claudia Jackson and companion Mike, Shaun Jackson and
wife Kim, Lisa Ross and husband Clay and Aaron Jackson and wife Kim;
seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward O. Morris; sister Della
Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services were held Friday, Oct. 31 at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel,
Osceola with Rev. Everett smith officiating. Music was by Richard
Sunderwirth and Gail Ingle who sang "Precious Memories" and "I Know
Who Holds Tomorrow".
Casketbearers were Melvin Tatum, Gene Swabby, Mark Naylor, Jay Knight,
Elvin Higgins and Gary Jenkins.
Interment was in Lowry City Cemetery.
