DOROTHY A. GIESLER

GIESLER - Dorothy Aileen Fulton Giesler, 81, of Kansas City, Mo.,
passed away on Friday, September 26, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice
House. Memorial services for Dorothy will be Thursday, October 2,
2008, at 2 p.m. at the D.W. Newcomers Floral Hills Chapel. Visitation
will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the chapel with inurnment at a later
date at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations to Arthritis Foundation, Alzheimer's Association,
or Kansas City Hospice House. Dorothy was born March 15, 1927, to
Harold and Mildred Fulton in Kansas City, Mo. Dorothy graduated from
Paseo High School in 1944 and went on to attend the School of Nursing
at Kansas City General Hospital. Dorothy was inducted to the United
States Cadet Nurse Corps in 1945. Following a long and varied career
in nursing, Dorothy retired from the Kidney Dialysis Center at
Research Medical Center in 1995 after 25 years of service. The family
would like to offer their thanks to the staff of Timberlake Care
Center, St. Joseph Medical Center (4 South), and especially Kansas
City Hospice House. Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, and
her sister Marilyn E. Gardner. Survivors include daughters Dina
Giesler (Bruce Greenbaum) and Debbi Kelly (Steve); grandchildren Chris
Sherwin (Newt) and Este Sherwin; three great grandchildren, DJ,
Thomas, and Jerry; and a niece, Dacia Johnson. Fond memories and
