Old Settler Drops Dead
W. H. H. Ethridge, an aged farmer near Taberville, was returning home from church service at Pleasant Grove church last Sunday evening, and dropped dead in the road. Deceased was a native of Tennessee, but had lived near Taberville for many years. He was 74 years of age. He had been a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist church for 30 years. The funeral was conducted Monday in the Pleasant Grove church, by Rev. H. W. Eversole, the pastor, and interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Deceased leaves a son, daughter and a host of friends to mourn his departure, which came so unexpectedly.
