WILMA JEAN NITSCHE KEETON

Wilma Jean, first born child of Carl and Mabel Green Nitsche was born
Jan. 7, 1925, in Griswald, Iowa, and passed away Sept. 12, 2006, in
her home with her three sons at her side.
She spent her younger years near Roscoe on a farm. She attended
elementary school at Benton Green and graduated from Roscoe High
School in 1942. She loved to play basketball and softball in school.
She married Alfred Keeton June 26, 1942. She lived in several places
with Alfred in the Armed Services. Upon his discharge they moved to
Kansas City and later to Prairie Village, Kan., and she lived the rest
of her earthly life there. They had three sons, Carl Eugene, Craig
Carl and Stanley Walter.
Wilma Jean was a very active member of the Overland Park Lutheran
Church as long as her health permitted. She was always ready to help
anyone who needed anything.
Wilma Jean was preceded in death by her parents nad her boys' dad,
Alfred.
Those left to mourn her passing are her sons, Carl Eugene and his wife
Sherri of Stillwell, Kan., Craig Carl and his wife Nancy of Spokane,
Wash., and Stanley Walter of the home; eight grandchildren, Brian
Keeton, Kerri McCowan, Kim Esely, Tammy Stabler, Christine, Jessica,
Craig Jr. and Taylor Keeton; three great-grandchildren, Kalie Stabler,
Spencer and Brionna Keeton; two brothers, Carl Herman and Jr. and his
wife, Jewel Dene, Myrle Linn and his wife, Bonnie; her sister Jewel
Dean Shults; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Our
loss is certainly God's gain.
Services were held at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel on Friday, Sept. 15,
officiated by Rev. Steve Altheide. Music was "Old Rugged Cross" and
"Amazing Grace".
The casketbearers were Carl D. Nitsche, Herman Nitsche, Tim Schwab,
Brian Keeton, Wade McCowan and Jamie Esely.
The interment was at the Roscoe Cemetery.

Wilma Jean (Nitsche) Keeton, 81, of Prairie Village, Kan., passed away
September 12, at her home. Services are 11 a.m. Friday, September 15,
at SheldonGoodrich Chapel in Osceola, with visitation from 7-8 p.m. on
Thursday. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery. (Arr: SheldonGoodrich Funeral
