William Carlyle Jeffries - William Carlyle Jeffries, 59, El Dorado Springs, was born on Nov. 13, 1948, to Lyle and Lois Jeffries in Viroqua, WI. He passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008.
Bill grew up in Roscoe, attended Osceola High School and received his diploma in 1966.
Bill was baptized in 1963 at the Roscoe Christian Church. He attended Missouri Bible College for a year
and also attended college in Warrensburg. Bill lived in Albuquerque, NM, for a period of time.
Bill dealt with severe challenges most of his life. He loved helping people and enjoyed their company. For
the last several years, he worked for Pathways in El Dorado Springs.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Lois Jeffries.
Survivors include two brothers, Bob Jeffries and wife, Kathryn – Fair Play, and John Jeffries – Nevada; four
sisters – Barbara Carter –Lamar, Margaret Dickerson – Warrensburg, Dorothy Hall – Denver, CO, and Mary Ewing and husband, Bobby – Pea Ridge, AR, and many beloved friends.
Services were held Friday, Feb. 15, at Hackleman Chapel with Pastor Neil Dye officiating. Pallbearers
were David Baxter, David Keeton, Steve Jeffries, Rich Segovia and Dan Sehubert. Interment followed in the
Appleton City Cemetery under the direction of Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home.
