PHOEBE ELLEN CARROLL

Phoebe Ellen Saulmon Waters Carroll was born on August 15, 1847 in Poseyville, Ind. and passed away March 26, 1936 in Osceola, Missouri at the home of her daughter and her husband. On January 1, 1863 she married James Waters and to this union ten children were born. Five preceded her in death. Those living being Lizzie Mead or Oregon. J.H. Waters of Severy Kansas, Dan H. Waters of Faberville. Missouri, Liza Bledsoe of Lowry City, Missouri., and Laura Carroll of the home.
Several years after the death of her first husband, who died April 9, 1881, she married W. H. Carroll on December 24, 1893. William H. Carroll died on January 1, 1930.
At the age of seventeen she came to Missouri with her family and remained there until her death. At age seventeen she joined the Christian Church.
