Myron "Ron" Adrian Doty, 76, Branson, died Friday, August 2, at the Skaggs Community Health Center, Branson.
He was born December 13, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Rhoada Ann Knebel Doty and Martin Wesley Doty. A World War II veteran, he joined the United States Navy December 14, 1942. He served in the South Pacific aboard the USS Bunker Hill and operated LCM boats beaching Marines. He was honorably discharged as a Coxswain from the Navy December 1, 1945. He was involved in law enforcement for many years. He served as Deputy U.S. Marshal for the then-Alaska Territory, director of State Emergency System of Alaska, as well as city police officer, deputy sheriff and security officer for several municipalities and counties in Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Doty, who died in 1990. He is survived by his only child, son, Keno Doty, and his wife, Amanda, Springfield; and his companion, partner and best friend, Ronda Goodman, Branson. Graveside services were held Tuesday, August 6, at the Roscoe Cemetery, Roscoe
