Marjorie was born to Aaron and Goldie Weant on November 15, 1923 in Monegaw Springs. Eighteen months later, her sister, Helen Nadine, arrived and they quickly became Jeanne and Deanne. After graduating from Roscoe High School, Jeanne met and married Jack Robert Poush of Osceola. Jack’s career as an Air Force officer took them to Canada where their daughter, Jacqueline Kay, was born. They also lived in Colorado and came back to Missouri where their second daughter, Deborah Deanne, was born. They also lived in Texas, California, Spain and Arizona. When it came time to retire, Jack and Jeanne returned to their roots settling at Pomme de Terre and became very active with the Pomme de Terre Golf Course. Marjorie passed away Aug. 23, 2006 in Bolivar.
Majorie Jeanne Weant Poush is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Barte and her two sons, Justin Whitehead and Tyler Bartel; Overland Park, Kan., and Deborah Childs and her son, Christopher Childs; Atlanta, Ga.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, officiated by Minister Greg Mangum. An interment was in the Benton Green cemetery. Arrangements were made by Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
