Lora E. Hilte, 93, Clinton, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Urich Baptist Church with burial in Englewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Urich Baptist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Dade County, daughter of William Henry and Hattie Leiber Jenkins. She Married John “Arnold” Hilte on March 16, 1935, at Deepwater. He preceded her death on December 20, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ray Hilte; one daughter, Avis Ingham; three brothers, Ellis, Dolsie, David; and one sister, Laphena.
Survivors include one brother, John Jenkins; two sisters, Vada Jenkins and Geneva Naffziger; two grandchildren, Lori Ann Oswald and Johnna May Irey; three great grandchildren; son-in-law, Johnny Ingham; and brother-in-law, Andy Davis.
