Jessie Lewis Toalson was born December 31, 1920 to Zebuon Vance and Jessie Wood Dark. She passed away Wednesday morning, March 18, 1992 at Sac-Osage Hospital in Osceola.
Jessie was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia. She was a 1941 graduate of Brenau College of Gainesville, Georgia, and a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. On December 29, 1945 Jessie was united in marriage to Glen F. Toalson in Covington, Virginia. In 1946 they moved to Osceola from Ft. Carson, Colorado. Jessie was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was active in Toalson Oil Co., Jr. Tuesday Club, Tiger Club, and the Cub Scouts.
Jessie is survived by her husband, Glen of the home; two sons, Glen F. Toalson, Jr. and his wife, Jan, of Williamsburg, Va., Commander Vance L. Toalson and his wife, Cindy of Norfork, Va.; 3 grandchildren, Johnathan Vance Toalson, Stefani Elise Toalson and Chris Johns, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 21, 1992 at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel. Graveside services were held Monday, March 23, at Locust Bottom Cemetery, Glen Wilton, Virginia.
