JERRY E. CARPENTER

Jerry Edward Carpenter, age 64, son of Leslie Leroy and Ruby Elizabeth
(Carroll) Carpenter, was born in May 1, 1944 in Empire, California. He
passed away May 11, 2008 at the Veteran’s Administration Medical
Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Jerry grew up in the Rockville,
Missouri area and had lived in the Taberville and Osceola, Missouri
areas throughout his life. He most recently resided in the Kansas
City, Missouri area. Before entering the Army Jerry worked for County
Club Dairy. He became disabled during his time in the armed service,
receiving an honorable medical discharge. While living in Taberville
he served as mayor and later donated his home to the community which
has been turned into Taberville Park. Jerry enjoyed music, fishing and
sports. He was a very generous man and valued friends and family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Paul
Everson, a sister Neoma Mauer and two nephews Jackie and John Daniel.
Survivors include his siblings: Jack Carpenter of Liberty, Missouri,
Eva Ballard of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Wanda Otto of Kansas City,
Missouri, Leslie Carpenter of Appleton City, Missouri, Janice
Schiebrel of Kansas City, Missouri, Linda Shindler of Arkansas City,
Kansas, an aunt Jessie Carpenter, numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins. Also surviving are good friends Ernie Garver and Beverly
Swadley, a special companion Ms. Brown his cat, and many other
friends.

May 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
