JENNETTIA N. BAKER

Jennettia Nora Baker was born on February 2, 1925 in Collins, Missouri
to Elmer and Eva Lena (Bird) Elliott and passed away on January 14,
2007 at Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri after a long battle
of several illnesses.
She was a member of the V.F.W. eagles when she lived in Washington and
has been a member of the Northern Cherokee Tribe in Columbia, Missouri
since 1988. Jennettia was baptized in 1992.
Jennettia has a very strong love for the outdoors. As a native of the
Sac-Osage area she enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, going to
auction and traveling. She also enjoyed indoor activities such as
puzzles and quilting.
Jennettia was one who had a great personality, very caring and
thoughtful, and always willing to help out others. She had a lot of
character, and was so kind at heart.
After several years of searching, she found her soul mate, she was
united in marriage to Frank C. Baker on November 28, 1991 in Clinton,
Missouri, and to this marriage, one daughter, Sandi Baker was adopted.
Jennettia was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Eva L. (Bird)
Elliott, two sisters, Mildred Anderson and Hazel Kirk and one brother,
Joe Elliott.
Jennettia is survived by her loving and loyal husband, Frank C. Baker
of the home, her daughter, Sandi Nickell and husband Alan of Avondale,
Missouri, grandson, Jimmy Dare, grand-daughter, Holly Miles, step-son,
Gary Baker and grandsons Frank J. Baker (Frankie-Joe) and Nicholas
(Nicky) Baker of Clinton, Missouri. One brother, Elmer Elliott and
wife Lois of Clinton, Missouri, Cleo Elliott of Independence,
Missouri, Annie Jones of Clinton, Missouri, and Ruby Dempsey of
Clinton, Missouri, several nieces and nephews who will miss her very
much.
Funeral services were Thursday, January 18, 2007.
Officiated by Pastor Jim Freeman.
Music selection was "Eastern Gate", "Tear Will Never Stain The Streets
Of That City", John Lloyd, Soloist, "Long Black Train".
Casketbearers were Jimmy Dare, Donald Bouse, George Plumb, Frank J.
Baker, Fred Todd, William Smith.
Interment was in Osceola Cemetery.

Mrs. Jennettia N. Baker, 81, Clinton, died Sunday, January 14, 2007,
at Kindred Hospital, Kansas City. Among survivors are her husband
Frank of the home; daughter Sandi Nickell and husband Alan, Avondale;
brother Elmer Elliott and wife Lois, Clinton, and Ruby Dempsey,
Clinton; stepson Gary Baker, Clinton; grandchildren, other relatives
and friends. Funeral services were Thursday, January 18, at
Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, with burial in Osceola Cemetery.
