JAMES H. GILMORE

James H. Gilmore, 79, Collins, died Monday, July 9, 2007 in the
Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg. The son of Arthur L. and Ethel
(Hattaway) Gilmore, he was born July 6, 1928 at Shorterville, Ala.
A U.S. Army Veteran, he served from September 1948 to May 1952. A
retired auto worker, he worked at the Ford Motor Co. Claycomo plant
for 28 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of VFW Post #1000,
Independence.
His parents and a sister, Kathleen Davis, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys, of the home; four children, James
Gilmore, Jr and wife, Hope, Blue Springs, Johnny Gilmore and wife,
Cindy, state of Kansas, Mike Gilmore, Kansas City and Janice
Corricker, state of Florida; six grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the Missouri
Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, with full military rights.
