JAKE RANDOLPH TRUITT
Jake Randolph (Randy) Truitt was born in Arkansas on March 13,
1932, and passed away March 15, 2007 at his home in Lowry City, Mo.
Randy was raised by his grandparents in Arkansas until he was 13 years
old. He went to live with his mother, F. Lucille and Ernest Truitt, in
the area around Polo, Mo. They later moved to Willow Springs, Mo.
where Randy graduated from high school, married, and had 3 kids. Randy
worked at a variety of jobs, farming, Pepsi Cola route delivery man,
St. Regis paper company, and at the family locker plant in Willow
Springs.
In 1968, Randy moved to Kansas City, Mo., where he married Elizabeth
Ann Owens on August 30, 1968, his wife for the past 39 years.
Randy and Betty then moved back to Willow Springs to operate the
family locker plant. During this time, Randy began a dairy business
with one cow and eventually retired as a successful dairyman after 25
years of selling milk to the area creamery.
In 2001, Randy and Betty moved to Lowry City, Mo., where Randy enjoyed
gardening, fishing, and woodworking. He faithfully served the Lord as
a Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Lowry City and
was a friend to many in the Lowry City and Osceola communities.
Randy was precded in death by his parents, Ernest L. and Fairy L.
Truitt, his beloved uncle, Jesse Manning, beloved cousin, Jr. Hill and
his aunt, Ruby Ulrich.
Randy is survived by his four children, Timothy D. Cheever, Barbara
Preston, Carmen Harris, and Tracy Hudson, nine grandchildren, 14
great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many
friends.
