LT. COL. RETIRED ELVIN JAMES NANCE
Elvin James Nance was born July 4, 1920. He passed away Nov. 29, 2007, age 87 years and four months. He was the fifth of six children born to Edmund L. & Lora L. Thompson Nance, on the family farm near Collins.
He graduated from Shady Nook Grade school, Osceola, Missouri High School and attended Central Missouri State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; sister Lora Lee Nance Foster; brother, Vernon Nance and nieces and
nephews.
Final disposition, cremation in the Nance cemetery.
