Edith Pauline Nickel was born March 11, 1913 in Shelbina, Missouri, the fifth of six children of James
and Ella Moore. The family moved to a farm in Lowry City. Edith graduated from Lowry City High School and attended Teachers College in Kansas City.
Edith taught school near Lowry City until her marriage to Willard H. Nickel of Osceola. They spent their
married life farming near Osceola and raised their three children.
She is survived by a son, Gary Nickel of Platte City; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, many
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Edith was a wonderful mother, a great cook and wil be saddly missed by her many friends and family.
