EARL R. ANGLIN

Earl R. Anglin, 75, Osceola, died Tuesday, April 4, 1995, at the
Sac-Osage Hospital in Osceola.
Mr. Anglin was born in Deepwater. He was a longtime Osceola resident
and retired plumber. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a
member of VFW Post # 4197.
He is survived by one brother, Roy Anglin of Pleasant Hill; two
sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Gillespie of Clinton and Mrs. Nellie Shoemaker of
Clinton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, Arpil 7 at the Sheldon-Goodrich
Chapel in Osceola. Burial will be in
the Osceola Cemetery.

Earl R. Anglin
Earl Russell Anglin was born December 15, 1919 in Deepwater to Samuel
and Mary Ann Poe Anglin. He passed away April 4 at Sac-Osage Hospital
in Osceola.
Earl moved with his family at an early age to the Osceola area. He
attended school in Osceola and was a 1939 graduate of Osceola High
school.
He entered the United States Army in October of 1941 and served
overseas, receiving three Bronze Stars.
After returning from the war, Earl began working for R.A. Bledsoe as a
plumber, an occupation which he continued until shortly before his
death.
"Moe" as he was known, had a wealth of knowledge about the systems,
homes and businesses in and around Osceola. He was the kind of person
people felt comfortable leaving to do the job, knowing it would be
done right. He was fair with everyone and even after he tried to
retire he was so in demand and anxious to help. He will be sadly
missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary; two
brothers, Jack and Everett Anglin and one sister Beulah Akers.
Earl is survived by one brother, Roy Anglin of Pleasant Hill, MO; two
sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Gillespie and Mrs. Nellie Shoemaker, both of
Clinton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were Friday, April 7, 2 p.m. at the Sheldon-Goodrich
Chapel with Rev. Mary Biesemeyer officiating.
Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Hartley
Casketbearers were Flavil Baxter, Brett Shelby, Buster Gillespie,
Robert Gillespie, Walter Behee, Bernard Cone, Randy Shulce, Charles
Kincaid.
Interment was in the Osceola Cemetery under the arrangements of Randy
Sheldon, Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
