Doris E. (Tharp) Tuck, age 76, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, September 26, 2007, at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Lincoln, Missouri. She was born in Roscoe, Missouri, on October 24, 1930, the daughter of James C. and Hazel D. Porter Fowler. She grew up in the Roscoe community. On January 13, 1952, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Tharp and then made their home in Kansas City. She worked for the Traveler's Insurance for over thirty years. She was a member of the Warsaw Christian Church. And she was a member of the Eastern Star for over fifty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James E. Fowler, and her first husband, Robert L. Tharp. Doris is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Sam G. Tuck, of the home; two daughters, Lynn Beasley, and her husband, Richard, of Warsaw, Missouri, and Teri Troutman, and her husband, Chuck, of Osawatomie, Kansas; one step-daughter, Jeanne Smith & family; her grandchildren, Luke, Ashley and Karina Beasley and Chuck and Krystal Troutman; two great-granddaughters, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday morning, September 29, 2007, at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri, with Rev. Richard Bowman and Rev. Robert Minshall, officiating. Graveside Services and Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon, at the Johnson County Memorial Garden in Kansas City, Kansas. No visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Community Nursing home in care of the funeral home.
