Clifford Frederick "Fred" Atkins was born February 17, 1938, at the home of his grandparents, Ben and Lea Crowder Atkins of Deepwater, to Henry and Violet Crowder Atkins. He passed away October 19, 2006 at Sac-Osage Hospital in Osceola, Mo.
Fred served in the U.S. Aarmy from 1956 to 1964. After his discharge from the Army he worked as a truck driver for 18 years. He moved to Tulsa, Okla., in 1974. He had six children.
Fred met his current wife in 1983 and they married in April 1985. They moved to Tampa, Fla., in 1987 and back to Brownington in 1995 where he resided until his death.
He was preceded in death by his mother and two great grandchildren.
Fred is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home; six children; six step-children; his father, Henry Atkins; a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Final disposition was cremation under the direction of Sheldon-Goodrich Osceola.
