Charles Edwin Carroll was born March 21, 1940, in St. Clair County to Cecil Floyd and Elizabeth Carroll. He died Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at St. John's Regional Healthcare Center in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Archie Dale, and one sister, Helen Lea Carroll Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce McBride Carroll of the home; three sons, Charles Allen of Vibbard, James R. Carroll and Bobby E. Carroll, both of Osceola, eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, James L. Carroll of Osceola, Leslie V. Carroll of Weaubleau, and Johnnie L. Carroll, Lowry City; three sisters, Maxine L. Wilson of Jefferson City, Linda Gurley of Deepwater and Grace Finch of Independence; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, September 14, at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel. Burial was in Osceola Cemetery.
