Charles "Chuck" Bennett, 84, Osceola, Missouri, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the KC Baptist Temple, 5460 Blue Ridge CutOff, KCMO. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Chuck was born May 2, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Mary Bennett. He served in the US Army during WWII as a tail gunner on a B-52 bomber. He received 6 Bronze Stars and 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. Chuck married Helen Popovich on June 22, 1946 and they had two sons.
Chuck served as the Chief of Police in Lowery City, MO. Law enforcement was his true passion.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Richard and David.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, 3 grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephen and Joshua Bennett, 1 great-grandson, Nathan and a greatgranddaughter to be born in April, 2007. (Arr: Cremation Society of KS & MO, 816-822-9888)

Charles "Chuck" Bennett, 84, Osceola, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Chuck was born May 2, 1922 in Kansas City to Richard and Mary Bennett.
He served in the US Army during WWII as a tail gunner on a B-52 bomber. He received six Bronze Stars and two Oak Leaf Clusters.
