Mrs. Bessie Hill Death
Mrs. Bessie Hill, whose home was at 411 North Main Street, died May 10 at Cedar county memorial hospital.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Hannah Ethridge, and was born February 14, 1885, in St. Clair county. She had lived 75 of her 80 years in this vicinity.
Mrs. Hill is survived by six daughters, Madge Hill and Violet Schuman, El Dorado Springs, Opal Shouse of Rich Hill, Mo., Ina Hutton of Elgin, Ill., and Lorena Davis of Caledonia, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was married August 23, 1903, to Wayne Hill, who died in 1945.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock today, Thursday, at the Gwinn-Carothers chapel, the Rev. G.H. Sublett officiating. Interment in Pleasant Grove cemetery, with grandsons acting as pallbearers.
