WANDA RUTH BALDWIN

Wanda Ruth (Peterman) Baldwin, age 91, of El Dorado Springs, Mo.,
passed away Dec. 13, 2004, at Community Springs Care Center. Wanda
Ruth Peterman was born to Effie and John Peterman on March 17, 1913,
in Collins, Mo., where she lived in the same house until 1936. She
attended 12 years of school in Collins.
Wanda Ruth graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1958,
and taught school 19 years in St. Clair and Hickory counties in
Missouri. Wanda Ruth was united in marriage to Lewis D. "Tommy"
Baldwin on June 9, 1934. A precious son, John Lewis Baldwin was born
on June 28, 1935. Wanda Ruth was an active member of the Collins
Christian Church, playing the piano and organ for over 50 years. She
was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #148 of El Dorado Springs
for over 50 years and past president of the Sac Osage Retired
Teachers. Wanda Ruth had been secretary/treasurer of Robinson Cemetery
Association for many years. She enjoyed the Senior Center and did
volunteer work there. Wanda Ruth loved her family dearly and had many
friends whom she loved to entertain in her home.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Pauline; four
grandchildren, David Baldwin, Terri Carolan, Lisa Baldwin and Johnny
and Cindy Baldwin; seven great-grandchildren, Stacey Baldwin, Natasha
Baldwin, Justin Vaughan, Taylor Carolan, Thomas Carolan, Kennyn
Baldwin and John Baldwin III; and one great-great-grandchild, Shelby
Byrns, all whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services are Dec. 18, 2004, at the First Christian Church.
Interment in the Robinson Cemetery under the direction of the
Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home.
