THELMA MARIE BAXTER

Thelma Marie Baxter was born June 3, 1927 in the Corbin Community near
Harper to George and Tressie Harper. She passed away at Golden Valley
Memorial Hospital on Sept. 4, 2007 after a long struggle of multiple
medical conditions.
On June 13, 1952 she was united in marriage with Flavel (Pee Wee)
Baxter. To this union one son was born, Curtis Baxter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Bondena and
Barbara Joan and two brothers Veldon and Franklin.
She is survived by her husband, Pee Wee of the home; her son, Curtis,
four grandchildren, Rachel, Khannah, Eythan and Yakov, one
great-grandson, Byrden, her sister, Geneva Fisher, her brothers, Jack
Harper, Dale Harper, and Lonnie Harper, numerous nieces and nephews,
other family members and friends.
Thelma spent her adult life living in Osceola community where she was
employed by Sac-Osage Hospital in the Nursing Department for 21 years.
Following her retirement and declining health, she and Pee Wee movd
from their Osceola home to Clinton. While her health permitted, she
enjoyed quilting, gardening, visiting with family and friends, adn
keeping Pee Wee in line.
Services were held Saturday, Sept. 8 at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel.
Officiated by Minister Greg Mangum.
Music selections were "Daddy's Hands", "Amazing Grace", "Just A Closer
Walk With Thee", and "In The Garden".
Casketbearers were Bob Harper, Yakov Baxter, Jeff Cogan, Eythan
Baxter, Lowry Belisle and Eddie Simmons.
Interment was in Osceola Cemetery with arrangements made by
Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.

Thelma Baxter, 80, of Osceola, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, Mo.,
passed September 4, 2007. Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday,
September 8, at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, with burial in
Osceola Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until
service time Saturday at the funeral home.
