Russell E. "Beetle" Bailey, 73, of Osceola and Independence, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Oct. 3, 2007.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Gloria Bailey, a son, Russell D. Bailey and wife, Jackie; a daughter, Sheri Border; and two grandsons, Bryan Bailey and Doni Border.
Services at a later time. Cremation.

Russell E. "Beetle" Bailey, 73, of Independence, Mo., passed away Wednesday October 3, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Beetle attended East High School. He retired from Otis Elevator Co. after 24 years of service (1969-1993). Beetle married Gloria J. Davis Bailey on July 25th, 1953. Beetle enjoyed hunting and fishing at their home in the woods, in Osceola, Mo. It was "his little peace of heaven". He is survived by his wife, Gloria of the home; one son, Russ Bailey and wife Jackie of Lee's Summit; one daughter, Sheri Border of Independence; two grandsons, Bryan Bailey of Springfield and Doni Border of Independence. Beetle is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. A celebration of Beetle's life will be held at a later date.
