Mary LaBelva Call, 85, of Kansas City, Kan., passed away August 28, 2007. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Charter Funerals, 10250 Shawnee Mission Parkway. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time. Graveside services will be at Freeman-Holsapple Cemetery in Collins, Mo., on Tuesday at 3 p.m., Rev. Gary Strickland, Collins Christian Church, is officiating. LaBelva was born October 3, 1921, in Jonesboro, Ark., and lived most of her adult life in Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Collins. She retired from Sunshine Biscuits, Inc. She was a member of Collins Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, bowling, quilting, crocheting, friends and family. Her heart and her home were always open to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whether for a day or a lifetime. LaBelva was preceded in death by her husband, William Erwin Call, her son, William Erwin Call, Jr., and her sister, Evelyn LaFehr. She is survived by two daughters, Zelma Ann Sully (Owen), and Barbara Ellen Nyhart (Steven); four grandchildren, Carl Adam Nyhart, Sheila Ann Russell, Owen Sully Jr. and Shauna Lynn Rhea; ten great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Mary LaBelva Call, 85, of Collins, passed away Aug. 28, 2007. Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Charter Funerals, 10250 Shawnee Mission Parkway. Rev. Gary Strickland, Collins Christian Church, was officiating.
LaBelva was born October 3, 1921 in Jonesboro, Ark., and lived most of her adult life in Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Collins. She retired from Sunshine Biscuits, Inc.
