GEORGIA M. BENNETT

Georgia M. Bennett, February 22, 1915 - April 6, 2008. - Georgia
Marie Bennett, daughter of Alanzo Lee and Florence Ethel (Lusk)
Carrell, was born February 22, 1915 in Nara Visa, New Mexico. She
passed away April 6, 2008 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton
City, Missouri at 93 years of age.
Georgia lived in New Mexico, Illinois and Missouri throughout her
lifetime.
Georgia and Dee Franklin Bennett were united in marriage in Mansfield,
Missouri March 31, 1932 and to
this union four children were born. Mrs. Bennett was very active
belonging to the First Baptist Church in
Appleton City, the Appleton City Rebekah Lodge #742 for over 50 years,
Order of the Easter Star, V.F.W.
Auxiliary, a 65 year member of the Mt. Hope Rural Home Improvement
Club, the Prairie Queen Garden Club and had been a 4-H leader for 35
years. Georgia enjoyed photography, sewing, gardening, flowers and
bird watching. Preceding Georgia in death were her husband, parents,
one grandson and one sister. Survivors include her children, Franklin
Carrell Bennett and wife Sylvia of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Florence
Snyder and husband Donald of Appleton City, Missouri, William Lee
Bennett and wife Donna of Independence, Missouri and Ilene Rapp and
husband Gary of Sweet Springs, Missouri; one brother, Lee Carrell and
wife Pat of Raymore, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 39
great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; three nieces, one
nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service: First Baptist Church in Appleton City, Missouri on Tuesday,
April 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Ministers: Brother J.P. Williams and
Reverend Frank Claiborne. Visitation: Hill & Son Funeral Home in
Appleton City, Missouri on Monday, April 7, 2008 between 6:00 - 800
p.m. Interment: Appleton City Cemetery in Appleton City,
Missouri. Memorial: Appleton City Cemetery Association or Evelyn
Brown Laney Hospice
