CHARLES W. GILLISPIE

Charles W. "Corky" Gillispie, born May 18, 1936, passed away Oct. 20,
2007. He was the son of William G. Gillispie and Sylvia Anglin
Gillispie.
Charles, known as Corky by friends and family, served 26 years in the
U.S. army. He joined in 1953 and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1979.
He lived in Mililani, Hi., most of the time since 1958.
Charles was united in marriage to Misao for 51 years. They were
married on July 25, 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George
Gillispie.
He is survived by his wife, Misao, of the home, Mililani, Hi.; one
son, William Gillispie, Mililani, Hi.; four brothers and one sister,
Lawrence (Buster) Gillispie and his wife, Ina, Kansas City; Zeldia
Stevens and her husband, Billy, Osceola; Jimmie (Jim) Gillispie and
his wife, Dorthy, Bolivar; Robert Gillispie and his wife, Helen,
Flemington and Earl (PeeWee) Gillispie and his wife, Cindy, Ft. Scott,
Kan.
Services were Oct. 30, in Mililani, Hi. with burial at the Veterans
Cemetery, Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
He will be missed by many friends and newphews, nieces. He went to
Osceola Public School for six years before moving to Clinton in 1948
and attending school there.
