RUBY MAY DUNLAP
Ruby May Dunlap
Ruby May Dunlap, daughter of John L. and Maggie Lasater Thompson,
was born February 1, 1911 at Rockville, Missouri. She departed this
life December 5, 1997, at Strafford, Missouri, at the age of 86 years,
10 months and 3 days.
Ruby was first married to Abe Dunlap, to this union three children
were born. Later she was married to Ed Waits. Both husbands preceded
her in death.
Mrs. Dunlap was a long time employee of Beech Aircraft Company. She
retired in 1973.
She had been a resident of Mansfield for about one year, moving there
from Kansas.
Her survivors include two sons, Louis Dunlap of Mansfield and William
Dunlap of Andover, Kansas; two brothers, Ernest Thompson of Sisters,
Oregon and Miles Thompson of Fort Scott, Kansas; five grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, John
Dunlap; one grandson; one brother; and one sister.
Services were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 1997, in Ragan-Thieme
Chapel, with Rev. Stan Welch officiating.
Music was by Rev. Stan and Sherri Welch.
Escorts were Gary Durlap, Kenny James, David Dunlap, Larry Dunham,
Tommy Durham and Randall Tetrick.
Burial was in Mansfield Cemetery.
Services were under direction of Ragan-Thieme Funeral Home of Ava,
Missouri.

Ruby May Dunlap, 86, Mansfield, Missouri, formerly of Wichita, retired
Beech Aircraft Corporation employee, died Friday, December 5, 1997.
Service has been held.
Survivors are sons Louis of Mansfield, William of Andover; brothers,
Ernest Thompson of Sisters, Oregon, Miles Thompson of Fort Scott;
five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
