ABIGAIL WOLFE

Abigail Wolfe was born November 22, 1846, in Sullivan county,
Indiana. She departed this life February 19, 1929, age eighty-two
years, two months and twenty-eight days.
She was united in marriage to George W. Wolfe, November 17, 1864, who
preceded her in death June 4, 1925. To this union was born eleven
children, namely: Mrs. F.M. Delozier, Chelsea, Oklahoma; and an infant
child, both deceased; Mrs. E.M. Terry, Osceola, Missouri; Mrs. E.B.
Hood, Clinton, Missouri; Mrs. Ed Truitt, Collins, Missouri; Mrs. Ed
Tillery, St. Johns, Kansas; Tom Wolfe, Long Beach, California; Joe
Wolfe, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Barnie Wolfe of Omaha, Nebraska; and Bill and
Homer Wolfe of the home address. She had thirty-four grandchildren and
forty-three great grandchildren. She also leaves four brothers and one
sister to mourn her loss.
“Grandma” Wolfe, as she was known to her many friends, united with the
Christian church early in life and lived a faithful member ever after.
She was a resident of St. Clair County for many years.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in El Dorado
Springs, February 21, 1929.
The active pall bearers were the grandchildren: Harlen and Hugh
Delozier, Mrs. Estell Sutton, and Mrs. Elsie Anderson, all of Chelsea,
Oklahoma; Mrs. Albia Igo, Deepwater; Mrs. W. Hemphill, Lowry City;
Cecil Truitt, Collins.
Her friends were numbered by all who knew her.
