WILMA LEA (ALLEN) McCULLICK

Wilma Lea (Allen) McCullick, 84, of El Dorado Springs, passed away
December 2 at the Community Nursing Home where she had resided for
several months. She was born September 17, 1899, in Roscoe, to George
and Melissa (Norris) Allen. Wilma was the last surviving child of this
union.
At an early age she became a member of the Riverview Christian Church.
On September 30, 1913, Wilma was united in marriage to James Matison
McCullick, in St. Clair County. To this union four children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George,
Avery and Ned Allen; one sister, Beulah Gentry; an infant daughter;
and her husband of 54 years, Mat.
Survivors include one daughter, Jewell Fern Wood; two sons, Allen Ray
and Roy Dee, all of El Dorado Springs; six grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Rose and Golda Allen of Fresno,
Calif., and Nancy Allen of Osceola.
Wilma was an avid reader. She also studied and helped compile her
family history dating back to the American Revolutionary War. As long
as her health permitted, she had a great interest in her garden and
flowers.
Services were held Monday, December 5, at the Hackleman-Peterman
Chapel, with Rev. Fidell Bridges officiating. Burial was in Love
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Neely, Rusty McCowan, Roy Dee MCCullick, Lynn
McCowan, Jim Ogle, Don Fugate and Kenneth Perrodin.
