Mrs. Stevia Baer, 93, Osceola, died Wednesday, January 24, 1996, at
Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City. Mrs. Baer was born in Osceola and was
a lifelong resident. She was a longtime teacher at Osceola High
School. She was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church
and the Osceola Garden Club. She is survived by one son, Lt. General
(Retired) Robert J. Baer of Fairfax Station, Virginia; two daughters,
Mrs. Jacqueline Buttram of St. Louis and Mrs. Sue Higgins of Osceola;
two brothers, Charles H. Green Jr. of Los Fresnos, Texas, and Will
Lucan Green of Oroville, Calif.; two sisters, Lula Wilcher of Vera
Beach, Florida, and Sue B. Green of Tucson, Arizona; 11 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Robert Mitchell of Tucson,
Arizona; one sister-in-law, Mathilde Baer of California, Mo. Funeral
services will be Saturday, January 27 at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel
in Osceola. Burial will be in the Osceola Cemetery.
