RUTH IVONNE NEUENSCHWANDER

Ruth Ivonne Sampson Neuenschwander passed away in the family home May 7, 2006. Ivonne was born July 1, 1921 in rural Deepwater, the daughter of Eliza and Lois Dody Sampson.
On May 25, 1939, she was united in marriage to Daniel John Neuenschwander in Anita, Iowa. To this union five children were born.
Ivonne was a homemaker who worked faithfully along side Dan on their dairy farm. She took pride in her home, vegetable garden and flowers.
Ivonne was a member of the Valley Center United Church of Christ and the Valley Center Ladies Aide.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; her parents; two brothers, Earl and Clayton; an infant sister, Wanita; and an infant grandson, Curtis Lee Rodabaugh. Ivonne is survived by her five children, Jo Susan and Tom Rodabaugh of Osceola; Larry Clayton and Doris Jean Neuenschwander of Deepwater; Judith Ann and Albert Watson of Windsor; Jane Ellen and J. W. Salley of Warsaw; Jean Marie and Bill Ryberg of Deepwater; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Edna Mae Sampson of  Napa, Calif.; and Ruby Neuenschwander of Appleton City; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services were Wednesday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Valley Center United Church of Christ. The minister was Rev. Dane Sommer.
The music was "Old Rugged Cross", "How Great Thou Art" and "Precisions Lord, Take My Hand" by Kathy Conrad, soloist, and Linda Lysinger, accompanist.
Casketbearers were Chris Rodabaugh, Ed Meuenschwander, Bill Neuenschwander, Jason Salley, Dan Rodabaugh, Jim Neuenschwander, Kyle Salley and Jeff Salley.
Honorary Casketbearers were Roy Shy, Art Neuenschwander, Glen Manbeck, John Rufenacht and Sean Vanslyke.
The interment was at Valley Center Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
