Ruby Garrison, 90, Osceola, died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Truman Lake Manor, Lowry City. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 4, at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, with burial in Bear Creek Cemetery.

Ruby Garrison was born Oct. 27, 1914, to Adam Clark Wisner and Sarah May Hartley Wisner at their home near Osceola on the Osage River. She grew up in the Osceola and Bear Creek community, attending school at Osceola.
On Nov. 10, 1934, Ruby was united in marriage to Richard Garrison. To this union was born two sons, Kenneth and Herb.
Ruby was a member of the Bear Creek United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents Clark and May Wisner; sisters, Margaret Wisner, Jeannette McCahon, Frances Gorman and her husband, Richard.
Survivors are two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Janet Garrison, Wheatland and Herb and Betty Garrison, Osceola; grandchildren, Wayne Garrison and his wife, Cathleen of Joplin, Keith Garrison and his wife, Linda of Richmond, Patrick Garrison of Liberty, Gayla Carney and her husband, Paul of Troy, Lyneigh Whitesell and her husband, Chad of El Dorado Springs; great grandchildren, Amanda and Rick Garrison, Rhiannon and Heather Garrison, Nate, Kaylee and Drew Carney, Jaycob Jamsek and Cade Whitesell; a sister, Mary Baxter; and cousin, Jessie May Garrison who was raised by Ruby.
Ruby worked at Waite’s Rest Home and later as a nurse’s aide at Sac-Osage Hospital for 25 years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitacre officiating. Music selections were “In the Garden” and “I Won’t Have to Cross Jordan Alone” by the Pruitt family. Graveside music was “The Lord’s Prayer” by Chuck Fulton and “Where the Roses Never Fade” and “Suppertime” by Wayne Garrison, Keith Garrison and the Bear Creek Bluegrass gospel band.
Caskebearers were Wayne Garrison, Patrick Garrison, Paul Carney, Keith Garrison, Rick Garrison and Chad Whitesell.
Honorary casketbearers were Nate Carney, Jaycob Jamsek, Drew Carney and Cade Whitesell.
Burial was in the Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
