Roy L. Estes, 87, Clinton, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton. He was born December 17, 1916, the youngest son of John and Alice (Green) Estes, who preceded him in death. Raised at Kings Prairie near Gerster, he married Vera Cauthon December 23, 1938. He worked for R. L. Faubion Tank company, Bossert tool and later Goldblat Tool Company, Kansas City. He retired in 1981 and moved to Clinton. In addition to his parents, his older brother Alva, and two grandsons, Jeremy and Roy Dwayne, preceded him in death. His wife of 65 years, Vera; two sons, James and wife, Gaby, Plainview, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive him. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, with Rev. Jerry Baughman officiating. Burial was in Kings Prairie Cemetery.
