Rolla Chiles Services Feb. 17
Funeral services were held Feb. 17, at the Goodrich Funeral Chapel for
Rolla Oliver Chiles, who died Feb. 13 at his home near Chalk Level at
the age of 72.
Rev. Dorsey Levell, D.D. of Springfield officiated at the services and
burial was made in Kidd's Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers were: Clifford
Chiles, Billy Chiles, Robert Ginter, Bill Nichols, Jerry Nichols and
Lecil Inskeep.
Mr. Chiles, son of Henry and Olive Chiles, was born March 14, 1895, in
the Ohio community. He grew to manhood in the community where he was
born. He attended Hillsdale grammar school, Lowry high school and
State 'Teachers' college at Warrensburg.
On Aug. 1, 1918, he was married to Hallie Inskeep. Five children were
born to the couple. A daughter Connie Mae, died in infancy. He lived
most of his life in St. Clair county, except for about 15 years when
he lived at Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Oakland, CA.
At the age of 18 he was converted and joined Pleasant Valley Baptist
church. While he lived in Oregon, he joined the Klamath Temple church,
where he served as deacon. Upon his return to Missouri, he joined
Kidd's Chapel church near his home.
Survivors are his wife; four children, LaVerne Heins, Kansas City,
Mo., Kenneth Chiles, Springfield, Mo., Ronald Chiles, Bangkok,
Thailand, and Jerald Chiles, Kansas City, MO.; nine grandchildren;
four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wulfemeyer and Mrs.
Iva Moser and a brother, Bert Chiles.
Eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Dick Chiles, 72, dies Tuesday
Funeral serves will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at two o'clock at
Goodrich Funeral Home for Rolla (Dick) Chiles, 72, of route three,
Osceola, who died at his home Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Burial will be made in Kidd's Chapel cemetery
