Rodney Allan Forbes, 39, Mexico, Mo., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, as the result of an airplane accident in Festus. He was born July 8, 1965, in Ft. Morgan, Colo., the son of Leonard L. and Dorothy A. Harr Forbes. On July 20, 1985, he married Sheryl Ann Jamison at Mt. Zion Bible School in Ava. She survives at the home.

Rodney worked for SBC. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked at the White House during the Reagan administration. He was a member of the Church of God Holiness where he served on the board and was the treasurer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Leonard and Dorothy Forbes, Hallsville; two children, Phillip Forbes, Mexico, and Tiffani Forbes of the home; two brothers, Stanley Forbes, Centralia and Gaylan Forbes, Hallsville; two sisters, Marilyn Hockmeyer, St. Charles and Connie Bunn, Centralia; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jay and Leona Jamison, Osceola.

Funeral services were Sunday, April 24, at Arnold Funeral Home, Mexico, with Reverend Delbert Dillon and the Reverend Gilbert Hall officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the church building fund.
