Mrs. Rachel Eblen died at her home in this city about 2:00 last
Friday morning. She was the mother of Mrs. James H. Reading, Mrs.
E. Ream and Mrs. Cynthia White. Mrs. Eblen had resided here a
great many years and was highly respected by all who knew her.
For the past 5 years, she had been a helpless invalid caused by a
fall and bore her affliction with great patience. Mrs. Eblen had
reached the advanced age of 92 years 4 months and 2 days. Funeral
services were held at the M. E. Church Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The
sermon being·delivered by Rev. Simmons. Internment was made at
the Lowry City Cemetery.
Her husband Jesse Eblen preceeded her in death 27 years ago.
She was born near Greenville, OH January 28, 1823, was married to
Jesse Eblin in 1840 & departed this life May 30, 1913, age 92
years, 4 months, and 2 days. Burial in Lowry City Cemetery
