R. MARIE HARTLEY

R. Marie Zeiler Hartley, 88, Nevada, MO, passed away Wednesday morning,
October 18, 2000, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a short
illness. She was born June 4, 1912, in Butler, MO, to Albert Sidney Zeiler
and Iva Susan Simmons Zeiler. She married Wilfred Hartley in 1951 and he
preceded her in death. Mrs. Hartley was born and raised in Bates County. She
lived most of her adult life in the Kansas City, MO, area. She spent 30
years as a beautician in Kansas City, MO, retiring in 1962. She came to
Nevada in April 1992 to be near her daughter. She was a member of the
Dunkard Church, Osceola, MO. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley
Landreth, Milo, MO; two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, two
great-great-granddaughters; two brothers, William Zeiler, Pleasanton, KS,
and Gearald "Bud" Zeiler, St. Joseph, MO and one sister, Ann King,
Harrisonville, MO. She was preceded in death by one brother, Buford Zeiler,
her parents, and her husband. Graveside services will be Saturday, October
21, 2000, at 1:00 p.m. at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, MO, under the
direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO. Friends may call now and until
12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
