Nova Gene Higgins was born Nov. 3, 1948, in Bronaugh to Claude Lee and Nina Anna (Folkner) Holland. She passed away Sept. 14, 2006, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
Nova was a nurses aid for several years. On July 15, 1977, she was united in marriage to Leroy Higgins who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Marion Martin.
Survivors include a son, John Taylor of Missouri; two daughters, Stephanie Beerbower, Collins, and Brenda Petit, Nevada; three brothers, Fred Martin of Iowa, Sonny Martin of Alabama and Ed Holland, Nevada, Mo.; three sisters, May Cole, Faye Scott and Babe Knerr, all of Iowa; six grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, Sept. 18, at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, with Greg Mangum officiating. Cremation.
