Mrs. George W. Harper, one of the pioneers of St. Clair county, died at Lowry City Tuesday evening of this week, and the body was taken to the old home at Harper for burial on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was around eighty years of age and had spent her entire life in the county. She leaves, besides the husband, four sons and one daughter as follows: Mrs. Tom Weatherford, Roscoe; Jim Harper, Ash Grove; Thomas Harper, Springfield; J.W. Harper, Lowry City; and Tell Harper of Kansas City.
