MAURICE E. UNDERWOOD

Maurice Eugene Underwood was born September 21, 1924 in Rockville, to Zoa and Grace E. Denney Underwood and passed away July 27, 2000 at Cox South in Springfield.
He married Ida B. Irvin on June 5, 1955. To this union one daughter was born, Nancy J. Nelson.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents Zoa and Grace; one sister, Grace Iona Underwood and his wife, Ida Belle Underwood.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy J. Nelson, Appleton City; one grandson, Asa E. Cline and one step-grandson, Randy D. Nelson.
Funeral services for Maurice were Sunday, July 30, at 3:30 p.m. in the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, with Rev. J.A. Hartley officiating.
Music selections were "Suppertime" and "In the Garden" by OSage Country Gospel Band.
Casketbearers were C.W. Gusewelle, Roy Dean Simmons, Dale Masten, Larry Shepherd, Jim Bock and Stoney Bock.
Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery under the arrangements of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
