Maudie Pryne Dies Jan. 26th
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, January 26, 1966, at
Goodrich Chapel for Mrs. Maudie Pryne, 75, who died Jan. 23, 1966.
Officiating at the service was James Fulton with burial made in the
Osceola cemetery.
Mrs. Pryne, daughter of John and Mary Hooper, was born near Osceola
March 15, 1890. On October 25, 1915, she was married to Joseph Shelby
Pryne. Three sons were born to the couple.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, who died in 1958, and her son
Johnny William was killed in action during World War II.
Survivors are two sons, Kenneth and Junior, four grandchildren, Doris,
Jo Ann, kay and Kenneth Paul; two daughters-in-law, Beaulah and
Minerva, all of Kansas City; one sister, Birdie Moore and one
sister-in-law, Maude Hooper of Osceola.
